ABOUT ME
Nice to meet you through my web page, my name is Leah Walstrom, I am currently a student in Equine Massage, and I am also an RMT (Registered Massage Therapist). I chose the equine wellness path because I wanted to expand into helping more than just people. I enjoy watching animals and humans feel good in their own bodies. I am in my mid thirties, I know I have a lot of life to thrive on. I have taken many certifications to add to my knowledge so I can keep growing in my treatments and better help those who are seeking it. I have always admired horses and thought they were gorgeous and capable of so much!! Unfortunately for myself when I was about 3 I got trampled by a horse. His name was Hoover he was a gentle gelding, one of our cows got loose and spooked him. I was a good 10 feet away but right in his path so I went down. I survived and have a few injures that still bother me to this day. I work through them with other professionals, I have always just wanted to help and improve those around me. This is the way I can help by using my skills and talents I have gained over the course of my Life/Career. I enjoy many things outside of the healing world, I am a mother and have wonderful children who remind me everyday that I am important. I enjoy learning and listening to many things science related and to how our minds work and function I find it very fascinating. The fitness world is something I have always admired and gotten on and off the wagon as they say many times. In this time I have stuck to my fitness goals and they have really helped me in my mental state. Life is more enjoyable now even with the stresses of living then it ever has before. Last time I really truly enjoyed every aspect of my life was when I was a child its been many moons. I’ve worked really hard, I’ve given up in moments and had the luck of having someone amazing in my life to help me keep going. Many friendships and My mother has always believed in me and as I get older I understand all the sacrifices she made for myself and my brothers to have a good life. I have built a blended family and we have our challenges but we are very happy, we enjoy each other and we listen and learn from the way we both grew up to the way we believe in parenting and living. I just started to feel like I was enjoying life before I met my current partner and he made me feel heard, he has helped me through this course and being away from them when I first started school. Being able to envision something I can grow and build with someone instead of myself has healed something inside of me.
